Concert Choir's Last Homecoming Performance!

BSC's Concert Choir hit the roads on March 13th to begin their annual choir tour, led by Dr. Lester Seigel, Joseph Hugh Thomas Professor of Music, with one of BSC's new faculty, Dr. Leon Couch III, as the organist. Joined by BSC President General Chuck Krulak, the choir performed at various places in Virginia and Washington D.C. throughout Spring Break, including the Vinson Hall for American Military Veterans in McLean, VA and World War II Memorial Centennial Plaza in D.C.

If you did not follow the choir in Washington D.C. or Virginia, now is your chance to listen to the 34 angelic voices right here in Alabama! The choir will conclude their tour on March 30th at 4 PM in Bluff Park United Methodist Church located at 733 Valley Street, Hoover, AL. Two major choral works on the choir's program are Aaron Copland's In The Beginning, and Bach's motet Der Geist hilft unser Schwachheit auf. Shorter works, all drawn from various American traditional and classical composers, range from works by Williametta Spencer and Robert A. Harris to Dolly Parton.  This event also counts towards your EEIS credits, and what better way to receive an EEIS credit than to support your school's choir!

Mark your calendars, folks! This is a performance you will not want to miss!
